Gutter Accessories for Added Protection or Style
There are a variety of accessories available for your basic gutters that will give you an extra layer of protection from leaves and needles, or simply create a designer look as seen in architectural magazines. Here at Willbuilt Seamless Gutters, we've been installing many types and sizes of gutters since 1997.
Select from a Variety of Gutter Accessories
- Downspouts - Your downspouts do not have to be the same color as the gutter on the fascia. Use a downspout color that blends with the house color for a flawless transition.
- Downspouts come in a variety of sizes and shapes, from the traditional 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" size, to a 3" or 4" round. For custom or commercial applications, downspouts can be custom fabricated to meet your needs.
- Gutter Covers are available for 5" & 6" gutters. Did you know that so many gutter protection systems actually void your roof warranty because they tamper with your shingles or roofing materials? Asking how a leaf protection system will affect your roof warranty is not a question homeowners think to ask – nor should it be! That’s why you’ve hired an expert to help you. Benefits of Gutter Covers:
- Gutter covers strengthen the structural integrity of your gutters.
- The gutter covers we offer are designed for our area, providing protection even from those pesky pine needles!
- Less maintenance, no more digging out the leaves and needles from the gutters and downspouts. Just regularly check and blow off anything that may collect on the top of the covers.
- Ridges increase airflow to allow debris to blow off easier.
- Fits directly on top of the existing gutters - no screws or nails invade the roofing materials. No worries about the potential of voiding the roof manufacturer's warranty.
- Helps prevent foundation problems due to clogged gutters.
- Rain chains - Many custom homes use rain chains to give that special designer look, as seen in magazines. Keep in mind though that rain chains have their pros and cons. They look very stylish, but they do not function like a downspout, channeling the water away from the house.
- CAUTION: Be aware that as the water goes down the rain chain, it splashes on nearby surfaces like stucco, wood siding, or stone, and can cause water damage. You could potentially begin to develop water staining and possible wood rot.
